The longest cycling track, referred to as the Krkonose Backbone Track (‘Krkonosska diagonala’), runs from Harrachov to Zacler and connects to other smaller tracks and circuits. Route: The track begins at the Museum of Glassmaking and the glassworks in Harrachov © together with the red-marked tourist path, from which it soon departs and leaves Harrachov in an area called Ryzoviste. It continues along the green-marked tourist path to Rucicky junction and Dvoracky chalets ©. From there it descends along the Kozelsky brook to the Skala hotel ©, where it joins the blue-marked tourist path to ascend to Horni Misecky ©. There it joins the red-marked tourist path and descends to Spindleruv Mlyn ©. It runs through the centre of Spindleruv Mlyn along the red-marked tourist path, which it departs from after crossing a bridge to follow, for a short passage, the yellow, blue and green tourist paths. Then it turns to the ‘Nad Krasnou Plani’ junction and to Strazne ©, where it turns left to ascend past Hribeci chalets, Zadni Rennerovky chalets and the ‘Na Rozcesti’ chalet ©. The ascent continues to Vyrovka hotel © and above Modry dul valley to Richterovy chalets © and further on to Pec pod Snezkou ©. There it runs across the bridge over the River Upa and towards Velka Upa © where it joins the Krkonose Backbone Track. It ascends jointly with the blue-marked tourist path and then the yellow-marked tourist path to Dolni Mala Upa © where it joins the red-marked tourist path and continues to Horni Alberice and the ‘Rychorsky kriz’ junction. From there, the final passages runs along the green-marked tourist path to Zacler ©. The track length is 72 km. It is only accessible on a mountain bike. Points of interest along the track: Museum of Glassmaking, Glassworks, Sindelka building with exhibition, Strazne quarry, Alberice mines, Municipal Museum in Zacler. The track offers beautiful views of the whole Krkonose Mountain Range.
